The bustling town square with its cobbled sitting area is only about 400 metres away and is an easy walk and the excellent sports centre with its playing field, childrens play park, tennis, bowling club and skate park is only about 250 metres away. Moretonhampstead has a wide variety of day to day and specialist shops, cafes, restaurant and two pubs, a primary school and pre school, parish church and chapel. There is a playing field and a further children's park at The Sentry and the town is surrounded by countryside walks. The A30 and A38 are roughly equidistant at about 8 miles and Exeter is just 12 miles along the B3212 Teign Valley road.

From the cobbled town square walk west towards the supermarket and then take the road opposite which is called Pound Street. Follow Pound Street to the right hand bend where it becomes North Bovey Road and continue until you see the tarmac drive on the right which is set between two modern homes. Take this private drive and just past the first house on the left is the drive for Well Park
