Situation

Broomhill is a quiet private road which is well maintained and is not a through route. Hope Cottage sits at the quiet end of the first part of the road and sees little passing traffic. The house enjoys views over fields and towards Chagford and across to the Teign Valley from some of the upstairs rooms. The property is only about half a mile from the bustling square in the ancient stannary town of Chagford where there is a wide variety of day to day and specialist shops, four pubs, cafes and restaurant. The town has a primary school and pre school, a Montessori and a library, a parish church, Roman Catholic church and a chapel. There are great walks in the countryside, moor and riverside and good sports facilities with a football and cricket pitch, bowling club, tennis club, skate park and an open air swimming pool in the summertime. Directions

From Fowlers turn right and walk down The Square past the delicatessen and Old Forge and on into Southcombe Street which becomes Lower Street at the next bend. Continue out of the town past the primary school and fire station and the next turning on the right will be Broomhill. Walk into Broomhill along the lower tarmac section and in the corner on the left is Hope Cottage.
