Broomhill is a quiet private road which is well maintained and is not a through route. Hope Cottage sits at the quiet end of the first part of the road and sees little passing traffic. The house enjoys views over fields at the rear and towards Chagford and across to the Teign Valley from some of the upstairs rooms. The property is only about half a mile from the bustling square in the ancient stannary town of Chagford where there is a wide variety of day to day and specialist shops, four pubs, cafes and restaurant. The town has a primary school and pre school, a Montessori and a library, a parish church, Roman Catholic church and a chapel. There are great walks in the countryside, moor and riverside and good sports facilities with a football and cricket pitch, bowling club, tennis club, skate park and an open air swimming pool in the summertime. The A30 dual carriageway is only about 5 miles away and Exeter is approximately 20 miles.
