There is also a small summerhouse here, so the evening sun can be enjoyed when it’s too chilly to sit outside. This area also has scented climbers, fern beds, and a granite boulder bounded pond banked with ornamental shrubs. A doorway in the wall leads into the lawned area of the garden, which is edged by mature shrubs and fruit trees. A circular central bed is planted with annuals. There are two further seating areas. The garden is very sheltered, and gets the sun from late morning until sundown.
