Great Weeke sits close to countryside footpaths and access to Nattadon Hill and Weeke Down for good dog walks. Nearby Chagford has a bustling town square and a wide range of day to day and specialist shops, four pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are surgeries for doctor, dentist and vet, a parish church, Roman Catholic church and chapel, a primary school, pre school and a Montessori. There is a football and cricket pitch with a pavilion, a tennis club, bowling club, a children's park and skate park and an open air swimming pool in the summertime. The A30 dual carriageway is just 5 miles away and Exeter is approximately 20 miles.

To the eastern end of the house is a climbing fig. Stay on Westcott Lane for 0.9 miles and upon arriving in Great Weeke the entrance to the courtyard that Granary Cottage shares is on the right. It is a tight turn into it.
