The property is located just a short level walk across the churchyard from the village square with its pub, restaurant and post office/village store. There is a village bus service and primary and senior school buses. The village is surrounded by countryside and riverside walks and the A30 dual carriageway is only about 4 miles away with Exeter being about 15 miles.

Front entrance

A granite wall with a white gate leads to a paved terrace which is south facing. There is space on the terrace for a table and chairs and on the wall of the house there is a climbing rose and in a raised planter there are flowering shrubs plus there is space for pots. A carriage lamp is adjacent to the part multi paned front door.

Directions

From Fowlers turn right and leave the Square into Southcombe Street which becomes Lower Street and which leaves the town past the primary school and fire station. Drive to the crossroads with the A382 at Easton Cross and turn left. Pass the Mill End Hotel and take the next right at Sandy Park. This lane will take you past the entrance to Castle Drogo and leads into Drewsteignton village but just before the left bend which rises into the village square take the right turn to Fingle Bridge and just along this lane is parking alongside the churchyard wall. Park here and walk along the lane to the next left turn and you will see Rookwood Cottage facing you.
