Fox Hat Cottage was refurbished, rethatched, rewired and replumbed about 7 years ago and now offers comfortable accommodation with 21st Century convenience and 16th Century character. Fox Hat Cottage is just 100 level paces to the vibrant town square where there are pubs, cafes and a host of day to day and specialist shops. Chagford has a bustle about it and enjoys a good social round. The town has good connectivity with fibre to the cabinets in the street. The nearest is less than 100 metres away. The town has surgeries for doctor, dentist and vet, a parish church, Roman Catholic church and chapel, a primary school, pre school and Montessori. It is surrounded by countryside, riverside and moorland walks and has good sports facilities with a football and cricket pitch with a pavilion, a bowling club, tennis club, a skate park and children's play park and an open air swimming pool in the summertime. The A30 dual carriageway is approximately 5 miles away and Exeter is approximately 20 miles.

The owners would anticipate an income of around £10,000 pa in a normal year which pays the running costs for the cottage and a bit more besides making their ownership and enjoyment of the property in their private time at Fox Hat cottage all the more enjoyable.
From Fowlers front doors turn left and go to the top of The Square. Turn left into High Street and pass The Three Crowns and just next to The Green Man Vegan cafe take The Drang (alleyway). The second doorway up The Drang on the left is Fox Hat cottage.
